Golden Milk and How to Make It Easily at Home

Golden milk has been used in Ayurveda for centuries. It's made with turmeric and spices, which are known to have powerful healing properties. Turmeric is an excellent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, while cinnamon helps regulate your blood sugar levels and promotes brain health. For this reason, it may be one of the best ways to prepare yourself for a good night's sleep after a stressful day at work—or just as a great way to relax before bedtime!

What Is Golden Milk?

Golden milk is a traditional Ayurvedic drink made by combining turmeric, ginger, and a base of almond or coconut milk. It's often enjoyed for its health benefits—in fact, the turmeric in golden milk is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory herbs out there. But what exactly is the benefits of golden milk?

Benefits of Golden Milk

Golden milk is very good for the body, including:

  • Digestion. The ingredients in golden milk have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that may help with stomach aches and bloating.
  • Immune system. Turmeric is known to have strong antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. It has been shown to kill leukemia cells and reduce inflammation in the lungs of people with cystic fibrosis. This can help boost your immune system by clearing out the bad bacteria in your gut so it doesn't get into your bloodstream or colonize other parts of the body.

The benefits of turmeric are no secret—it's one of my favorite spices! When you add it to golden milk, you'll be getting all those same benefits along with all those antioxidants from cinnamon and ginger too! If you aren't already adding turmeric into your diet regularly yet (and if not why not?), now might be a good time for making this recipe for yourself!
