Cardamom is primarily used in Indian and Middle Eastern cooking, particularly in desserts, tea, and coffee due to its sweet flavor. Cardamom is often chewed after a meal to act as a breath freshener. The Cardamom pod contains smaller seeds, bot the pod and seed are ground to make cardamom powder which is often used in Ayurvedic remedies.
